Blog Overhaul. Bloverhaug / New Years Resolutions

Posted December 29th, 2006

Yes, I do play with language too much. But now you can add a new word to your vocabulary and consider yourself that much smarter. It’s almost 2007! And with that comes the opportunity to conjur up and write down a list of Resolutions which will no doubt be forgotten about by the end of the NYEve binge. But this year, maybe we can all resolve to keep our resolutions. That is my first resolution: Stay true to my resolutions. The list would then proceed as follows…

1. Keep Resolutions
2. Bloverhaug: New layout and more entries, which also means I have to start accomplishing something beyond adding new facebook friends…shit.
3. More health: More nutrition, less waste. More exercise, less stagnancy, i.e facebook…
4. Less death: Namely intoxicants but also regular shit like cola and coffee and licking my hands after opening public washroom doors.
5. Development: Practice, practice, practice (drums that is) and play more gigs. Networking and preparing to travel.
6. …I’ll think of more later.

And so now, What are your New Year Resolutions?!

Conversations

Posted December 4th, 2006

It seems that simply copying conversations that people have into blogs is one of the sincerest ways of expressing true ideas as they exist, free of post-experience editing. It also cust my blog-posting time in half!

Canada Chooses the Nerd! says:
i wanna see the world

facing the jury tomorrow 10am says:
a whole new wooorld

Canada Chooses the Nerd! says:
haha

just don’t get killed in Africa

and maybe Iran and Sudan can wait

facing the jury tomorrow 10am says:
yeh that’s a very paradoxical concept for me

if this were a video game or something the first places i would travel would be there

regardless of anything else in the world, the middle east has all the nature, in some regions, and also the most interesting
humanist situation in existence today

i woudl love nothing more than to approach people and just have conversation with them

but you’re right that .. i probably wouldn’t come back

Canada Chooses the Nerd! says:
wicked man

i didn’t realize you were such a socially curious individual

props

facing the jury tomorrow 10am says:
yeh, i mean.. i was very inspired by marlin’s last words today talking about .. Jaspers I think, and that his main concern was with the fidelity of communication between individuals

i think there is so much about our experience that we take for granted, either as universally applicable to everyone, or that we particularize but that is in fact a fairly universal issue/sentiment, and the lack of communication between cultures and individuals within cultures is the reason for so many of the global community’s problems, and individual’s problems,

and is also what allows for pricks, i.e. fatcats who do nothing but dream of money and power and ways to acquire it at the least cost to get away with their dirty deeds without anyone stopping them, because we are so disorganized and fooled by spinMedia etc

bla bla

but yea

so i want to meet people

Canada Chooses the Nerd! says:
no man, i’m in full agreement. When he asked if anyone knew what Jaspers said, i didn’t know better than anyone else, but since people were saying their own things like poverty and whatever I was going to say “well for me it’s communication”

then he said the answer and i remembered one of the reasons why i took phil..

to hear learn that renowned thinkers have already come to some of the general conclusions i did on my own

helps me realize i’m not insane

or alone

facing the jury tomorrow 10am says:
hah, that’s true eh

Canada Chooses the Nerd! says:
but yeah, it’s the major issue
